Where GTO Wizard is the better tool
- It is a real solver library and we are not. If you want the equilibrium frequency for a specific spot, it has it and we do not.
- Its preflop coverage is far deeper than our charts, across many stack depths and formats.
- It has drilling and training modes built around those solutions.
- Its analyser reports a numeric GTO score, which is a cleaner progress metric than prose.
A comparison page that cannot say this is an advertisement. These are real, and if one of them is what you need, buy theirs.
Where the two differ
- It answers in solver terms: a score and an EV loss. We answer in sentences that name the decision, why it was wrong and what it cost in big blinds.
- It bills monthly and caps analysis by hand. We bill per session, and a session is analysed whole.
- Some branches, notably parts of multiway postflop, are unsupported and get skipped or partially analysed. We read every hand the room wrote, because we are not matching against a solve.
- It costs 13 to 66 times a single debrief from us, per month, whether or not you play that month.
The short answer
If you study theory seriously and your budget carries a subscription, GTO Wizard is the better tool and it is not close. If you want to know what went wrong in the session you just played, in words, without paying $39 a month to find out, that is a different question and it is the one we answer.
Common questions
What is a cheaper alternative to GTO Wizard?
For hand review specifically, Poker Debrief charges $3 per session with no subscription, against GTO Wizard's $39 to $199 a month as of 6 September 2026. They are not the same product: GTO Wizard is a solver library with an analyser attached, and Poker Debrief is a session debrief in plain language. If you want equilibrium solutions, nothing cheap replaces GTO Wizard.
Does GTO Wizard analyse hand histories?
Yes. Analyzer 2.0 takes a hand, a session or a database, matches supported hands to its solutions and reports a GTO score and average EV loss. The Starter tier caps this at 100 hands a month and the free tier at 5. Some multiway postflop branches are unsupported and are skipped or partially analysed.
Can I use both?
That is the sensible combination if you can afford it. Use a debrief to find which decisions in your own session were expensive, then use a solver to study those specific spots properly. Finding the spot and solving the spot are different jobs.
How to check any of this yourself
Every price above carries the date it was checked, because prices move and an undated comparison is worthless within a quarter. If something here is out of date, it is a mistake rather than a tactic, and we would rather hear about it.
The part you cannot check from a table is whether the analysis is any good. So read a real debrief before paying anyone, ours included, and the first one on your own hands is free and complete.
$3 a session, and the first one is free
No subscription, no monthly cap on hands, and credits that never expire. Read one on your own session before deciding anything.
No card. No subscription. $3 a session after that, and credits never expire.
